At Associated Speech Consultants we do our best to accommodate client schedules and when you schedule appointments with us, that time is yours alone. Due to the significant increase in the number of families/individuals wanting to access services for speech and language therapy we are in a position where we must institute a firmer policy for late cancelations and no-shows for the appointments.
Please understand that missed appointments for which we are not provided adequate notification, prevent us from accommodating other clients.
If you miss your scheduled appointment, and you have not provided us at least 24 hours notice, you will be required to pay half the cost of the booking.
We understand that circumstances may arise that result in a need to cancel a scheduled appointment. In this situation, please contact us by phone at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you do not reach us, please leave a message on our voice-mail system. If we do not receive notification of cancellation a minimum of 24 hours prior to the appointment and you do not attend the appointment, the cancellation fee will be applied.
As we are continuing to maintain policies that have been put in place to protect both our clients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic we would like to provide a gentle reminder of the following:
On occasion there may be extenuating circumstances that are out of your control (sudden illness, family emergencies, etc.). Your therapist may wave the cancellation fee in the event of a rare circumstance such as the examples above.
